I have posted my address and a map on the address page.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me. Please note that what's online isn't all that will be at the sale!! That's just all I was able to photograph and add to the site. Please come by even if you didn't get an item you wanted to reserved. I am positive you will find something you like.

what an adventure!

A rambunctious little bunch of shoppers you are! I commend you on your eagerness to find good deals! This was, however, the first time that we haven't been able to park our car due to being surrounded by vehicles! Ha. I'm glad Walmart security didn't stop us! Another year of reservations down. Congrats to all of you newbies who survived! :) Glad to have you as part of the new revolution in garage sale..ing. (yes, I made up a word).

For those of you who could not make it to reservations tonight- don't fret. There are still plenty of items up for grabs (it's sick the amount of stuff we have, isn't it?). The items that were reserved tonight are marked as such under their main descriptions.

For those who DID reserve items, you have until 4pm on Saturday to pick up (unless you've made other arrangements with me). If you do not show up at the sale location by 4, you will forfeit your deposit, and your reserved item will go back up for sale. Sorry! I only have another week in Dallas and I can't spend time waiting. Everything must go.

I realized I didn't have an email address on this page for those coming to us off of ads. My apologies! If you have any questions, please email me at info@studio10fourteen.com

See you Saturday, everyone!

Walmart tonight

Most of you know that I will be at Walmart today to collect deposits for desired items.

A few things you should know...

1. Do not place a deposit unless you are 110% certain you want the item. If you are the type that prefers to see an item first, please just come to the sale and DO NOT place a deposit.

2. I will not be carrying any of the items with me for you to view. It's dangerous and a hassle. This is why I am not meeting individuals to sell the items outright. I'm doing it this way because it just makes no sense to drive around Dallas meeting everyone with stuff in my car to potentially not sell an item.

3. I will be at Walmart at 6:30pm and will start taking reservations then. If you get there three hours early and try to prove it with a Walmart receipt, that will be of no concern to me (sorry!). It isn't fair to the people who are driving to Walmart after work. You could potentially live in Garland, get a Twix bar at 2, then try to come back closer to reservation time and show that you had been waiting there all that time. Unfair. First come, first serve without the games. Again, I'll be with my husband driving a yellow car.

4. Now this is when I get a bit serious....if you do not like the way I am conducting my sale, then please...you do not have to shop with me. No one is forcing you. I have done this sale THREE other times and find that this is the best possible way I have found to do it. I have been very successful with it and have people come back for more time and time again. My items are hot, and I am aware of it (not to be cocky). I need to keep some sort of order! I have put a lot of time and effort into creating my site, taking pictures, etc. Again, I will not be selling anything outright and will meet everyone in one place to reserve items.  This isn't an auction and there is no 'bidding'.  The item's price will not change based on how many individuals want it. What I've set for the price since day 1 will be the price until the end.

Anyway, everyone will be meeting me at one place around the same time to pick up items. I will not be making any special exceptions for anyone. (I apologize if I come off harsh- I am truly a softy as all of you repeat shoppers know :) - I just need to make myself very clear to those who are new to this.)

I look forward to seeing all of you tonight and then again on Saturday. Note that I have a lot more up for sale than is on the website, so if you do not get your reserved items, please feel free to still stop by.  We have a LOT of things!

See you tonight!

P.S. Starbucks didn't like me too much in 2008 when I did this.  I picked Walmart because it is bigger, but they might not like me either. We have to do this quickly, people! Haha. Please try to maintain soooome sort of order. Come with a positive attitude. No screaming, yelling, sad faces. You're coming to get some great items for next to nothing. Be all smiles :) :) See you!

reservation updates

Reservations are today!!! Is everyone excited? Just wanted to post a few things so that we are all on the same page.

If you are not sure that you will want the item, please DO NOT place a deposit on it. You need to be 100% sure that you want it. Don't just place a deposit on it to hold it and potentially not buy- you need to be as sure as you can be. Thanks!

Once I return from Walmart, all the items that have been reserved will be marked as such on the website. So, if you visit the site and it does not say reserved next to an item that you want-- it is still available for purchase on Saturday :) If individuals do not pick up their item on Saturday by 4pm, I will remove the 'reserved' marking and it will be up for sale again on Sunday.

garage sale tips

Good morning, sunshines! This is mainly for all of you who have never shopped my sales before. Follow these tips, and you will be a happy shopper. I will add more as I think of them.

Bring more cash that you anticipate spending

If you plan on spending $150 on items that you've seen on the website, bring $200 or $250 if you can afford it. I have not posted everything that is up for sale on the website. It takes too much time. You will get here and learn that you want much much more than you planned to buy and end up leaving disappointed.

Hold On Tight

If you ask to view an item or pick up an item from the the sale, DO NOT SET IT DOWN until you are 100% positive that you don't want it (which rarely happens). The moment you set it down, someone else will pick it up and buy it. I am not joking when I say this. It has happened at every sale. Now don't get me wrong-- they don't get violent or anything. You just need to me mindful. I will have individuals helping me work the sale - so you can always have myself or one of them hold an item (with a  non-refundable deposit) if you need to leave and come back.

reservations, reservations, reservations!

The moment you've all been awaiting...

A ton of you are interested in placing a deposit to hold items you want so that they are not gone when you arrive on Saturday. No problem!

Thursday, July 22, I will be at the Walmart Supercenter near 635 and NW Hway accepting deposits for items. I will be collecting on a first-come, first-serve basis. If two people are coming to reserve the same item, the person who arrives first gets the reserve. It's the only fair way to do it at this point since I have an insane amount of interest in every last one of my items.

The address for the Walmart is...

1801 Marketplace Dr

Garland, TX 75041

I will be there at 6:30pm . I plan to stay for about 30min to 45min for individuals that arrive late. You'll find me by a bright yellow car towards the back of the parking lot in front of the store.

Please note that you are reserving your items so that they are available on Saturday when you come. Once you reserve the item, I will not be selling to anyone that requests it once they come to the sale. I require 20% CASH to hold your item. Please do not play games with me. I will not accept any other form of payment but CASH. Save your stories for daytime talk.

Make sure that you are 100% positive that you want the item for which you wish to place a deposit.  It is NON-REFUNDABLE.  In allowing you to reserve it, I am preventing it from being sold to others. In the event that you wish not to buy it any longer- I have missed out on selling it to others- which is why the deposit isn't refundable.  I have tried to be as detailed as possible in each post. By placing a deposit you agree to the conditions of the sale (located in the 'about' section on the front page of this site. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. I'm not a store-- I'm an individual.

Please read my 'information about reserving an item' post below for more detailed information about reservations. Also read the frequently asked questions post. It's easier than sending the same email 100x. :)

frequently asked questions

I have received several questions throughout these past two days and I would like to address them.

Functionality of Electronics

All of the electronics I have posted are FULLY FUNCTIONING unless I have specified otherwise. Most are flawless cosmetically and work as they would if you brought them straight out of the store. If you buy an electronic piece from me, you do not have to worry about it dying on you. They work...and well.

Reason for Insanely Low Pricing

For all of you repeat buyers out there-- you know already know all of this - it's why you're coming back :) - which I GREATLY appreciate. This is for you newbies out there :) The sole reason why I am selling most of the items I have is because they are sitting here unusued. I'd rather take a loss on an item and get something for it than not even use it at all. When you shop any of my sales, you have to take the cliche "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" out of your head, seriously. You will miss a lot of good things with that mentality. Change it to.. "If it's too good to be true, I better snatch it up quick before someone else gets it!" Come prepared to spend money. You will be upset with yourself if you don't bring enough. I will have a list of garage sale tips in a separate post so that you are fully prepared.

Discounts for multiple purchases

I am definitely willing to offer discounts on multiple purchases if the items you are combining all state "obo" at the end of its price. The items not eligible for discounts are those marked 'firm'.

Authenticity of Designer Items

As you can see from my entire jewelry & accessories section,  I'm a huge handbag fanatic. I try my best to acquire authentic pieces when I can afford them. Many have stated they don't care about my providing receipts, proving authenticity, or purchasing replicas while others would like to know the items for which I do have receipts. The items I am 100% positive are authentic because I purchased directly from the store or authorized dealer are: John Hardy bracelet purchased from the Bailey Banks & Biddle in Willow bend, all designer clothing, all Juicy Couture items, DVB bucket tote, all designer fragrances.  For the others-- I cannot prove authenticity nor cannot guarantee it (just being honest! haha) I purchase a lot of bags from private collectors and online. I invite you to come to the sale and view all of the designer goods so that you aren't reserving something you may not potentially want to keep.

Pick-Up of Reserved Items

If you've reserved an item, you MUST pick it up by 4pm on Saturday. I am not making exceptions to this. No, you cannot come early. No, you cannot meet me to reserve your items at times other than designated reservation times (which will be posted). Keep checking the blog

free $50 gift card for everyone who shows up!

Who says nothing in life comes free?? On top of offering the lowest prices on the highest quality items in all of DFW, I am giving away free things!!!?!! Too good to be true? Is there some sort of catch? Well it IS too good and TRUE, but there is no catch. A local company decided to sponsor our sale with $50 gift cards as a promotional offer. If you have plans for a party in the future, they are the people for you. Visit this website to read all about it and come to the sale to get your gift card. Please don't take it just because it's free. Take it if you truly feel like you'll use it. The only thing they ask is that you take a short survey (the catch). It'll take 5 min. Market research. Small price to pay for $50. Only valid on regular priced party rentals.

why do I have to wait until Saturday?

This was probably the #1 question of the evening last night (same goes for the last 3 sales). The answer is simple. Or maybe not..

1. If I were to sell all of the items I have for sale individually, I would have tons of random strangers meeting me throughout the week.  It's a lot easier dealing with everyone at one place at one time than multiple times throughout the week. That's also why I am not posting the address until the day before the sale. In previous sales, I had campers in front of my doorstep. I can't do that this time...especially since a business owner has been generous enough to let us use their commercial property this time around.

2. If I met you outside of my home, I would have to carry around the items you wish to purchase. I don't feel comfortable doing that as some of the items are expensive. Some may say, "well I only want a $5 or $10 item". Well, it may not be dangerous carrying around some toys or a book, but it isn't worth my time to drive across Dallas just to sell something for $10. I need to remain fair to everyone anyway. If I'm not going to haul around a sofa or drive around with expensive handbags, I'm not going to travel with a book. I'm a very honest and rational person. I love that all of you are helping me get rid of things, but I do need to remain fair.

I hope you all understand. :)

information about reserving an item...

I am accepting cash deposits in-person to reserve items.  The deposits will be 20% of the sale price. If you wish to pay in full, you may do that as well. If you place a deposit, you MUST pick up your item on Saturday by 4:00pm. If you fail to do this, you forfeit your deposit and the item will go up for sale again. If you change your mind about a particular item, your deposit amount can be applied as credit towards another item that is available (or towards the reservation of an item that has not been held already). Hopefully this all makes sense.

I will be posting a date and time for deposits soon. Stay tuned!

i'm baaaaaack!

I am sure you all have missed me dearly. It's been what...exactly two years this month since sale? That's an insane amount of time to accumulate more stuff. This will probably be the best sale in our history.  The last two years have been VERY busy for me. I started a new business, got married, got into med school, and move across the country to pursue my love of medicine. Well... the move was very quick and we had to put all of our stuff in our new Plano home in storage in order to make the move. The hubby and I are back in Dallas for the summer selling off all of the things we left behind.  For you previous shoppers...this will be the BEST sale yet. For you newbies....hang tight! This will be an experience of a lifetime.
